Xerox needs to come up with software to solve that issue. Worked on this for like 6 hours yesterday, determined to find a fix. i thought "this is crazy" and decided to run the Smart Start anyway, sure enough, it can't find the device because it's not on the network/subnet. So i thought maybe something was iffy with my client's network (which i set up but i'd address that later) and offered to take the printer home with me to my home network, which uses the same Internet Service Provider she does, and i have a proxy network for, ummm.other uses.Įthernet setup using DHCP on my ISP's router *still shows the IP of my client's office, even though it's on my router and connecting via DHCP (meaning a new IP is to be handed to this device)* no luck. might not work too well for you using the Device UI** **PROTIP: i advise you to setup links to network paths via WebUI.
